Tropicália’s Electric Celebration of Latin Culture

When Tropicália kicks off this weekend, it will boast a massive lineup, headlined by artists like Kali Uchis, Caifanes, Los Tigres del Norte, Chicano Batman, and Cuco.

The lineup clearly celebrates Latin music, especially in the genres of indie pop, rock, and more.

Artists, such as Kali Uchis, have been named best of the year by companies like Rolling Stone, Billboard, GQ, thus, attracting crowds of thousands. Because of the growing attraction of the aforementioned artists, this sold out Tropicália festival has been relocated from the Pico Rivera Sports Arena Grounds to the Pomona Fairplex.  Goldenvoice will proudly present the 2019 two-day Tropicália festival on Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10.

Over the course of these two days, the Pomona Fairplex will transform into an eclectic celebration of Latin culture, fashion, indie music, and cuisine. In addition to the bands and acts performing at  Tropicália, the taco selection, curated by L.A. Taco, will feature a diverse group of taco styles from all over Southern California, including Teddy’s Red Tacos, Balam Mexican Kitchen, and Triple Threat Truck.

Tropicalia CoCochata!

The world’s number one Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker has partnered with LA-based mixologist Othón Nolasco to introduce the signature cocktail of this year’s festival, the Tropicalia CoCochata

The Tropicalia CoCochata channels the spirit and energy of Tropicalia as a celebration of Latin culture and flavors, and festival goers won’t want to miss the churro garnish made from LA’s very own, Churros Calientes. The cocktail will be exclusively available this weekend for attendees 21+ at the John Walker & Sons Cocktail Grocer located between the Tropicalia and L.A. Taco stages.

Tropicália is not just a music festival, it is an event that captures the multi-faceted heart of Latino musical culture is Los Angeles. At Tropicália we will have the opportunity to listen to ‘60s soul music, punk, hip-hop, and even a Norteño band headlining the event. Within the last couple of years, the event has doubled in size and this year there is an expected 30,000 people on each day of the event.
