2. Giddy Up with Megan Thee Stallion at The Belasco Theater – 1907
Well, Yippee Calle DTLA… This New Year’s Eve DTLA Vibez will host hiphop celebrity Megan Thee Stallion with special surprise guests inside the historic Belasco Theater.
Is it time to have a Sex Talk? This all age show promises to be the most unbridled as this galloping 24 year old Texas native prances unharnessed across the stages of the world. 3. N.Y.E.L.A: Prohibition For All at City Hall – 1926
For the seventh year, Grand Park and The Music Center’s N.Y.E.L.A. will ring in the new year with live music, food trucks, photo booths and an amazing projection of art and lights (complete with illuminated countdown) onto City Hall’s granite facade – all without a drop of alcohol.
The festival’s family friendly atmosphere comes with a long list of prohibited items including firecrackers, ride share scooters, bicycles, glass, smoking, boomboxes, umbrellas and even bottled water, during the biggest NYE celebration in Los Angeles under the watchful eye of the City. Despite the restrictions there will be plenty of other reasons to celebrate at the FREE event with more than 50,000 people expected to attend.
The entertainment line up, hosted by Pili Montilla, presents popular local DJs and cultural performance artists including DJ Pauli, DJ Cool Era, The PSM, Banda Las Angelinas, Thee Sinseers and Cherry Poppin’ ft. DJ Rell.

Thanks to Le Grand there’s no reason to celebrate NYE 2020 on an empty stomach. One of DTLA’s premier fine dining designations, this modern Mediterranean inspired restaurant will host an unforgettable four course meal complete with champaign toast within its historic location on the corner of 7th Street and Grand Ave.

5. Happy Oshogatsu?
Yes, as soon as the sun rises on DTLA this New Years Day, Little Tokyo begins a week long celebration which many would agree should last the entire month.
The Annual Japanese New Year’s Oshogatsu Festival held at downtown Weller Court Shopping Center and Japanese Village Plaza will feature Japanese art and entertainment to match the district’s deliscious variety of culinary stops, and rows of wonderful novelty boutiques.
The week long festivities will bring Japanese Taiko Drumming, traditional dance, martial arts, food booths, Mochi making, beer sampling and more. Get ready to shake your rumba this NYE. La Junta x Boombox are teaming up to present Pina for the third year in a row at El Dorado.
El Dorado is a speakeasy replica hidden beneath the historic Continental Building, once the city’s tallest commercial building. 7. Substance / NYE 2020 at the Legendary Regent Theater – 1914
Sounds like it’s going to be a mad house of light and sound at the Regent this NYE as Spaceland, Substance, The Restless Nites Present TR/ST, Light Asylum, and Patriarchy all under one iconic gothic-inspired roof.
Finishing off a huge year of touring in support of two groundbreaking new records – The Destroyer Parts 1 & 2, Robert Alfons and Co. will be performing an intimate set at the Regent to ring in 2020 with a custom A/V experience by SUBSTANCE friend and collaborator Taran Allen.
