AltaMed Health Services has provided quality care to the underserved communities of Southern California for fifty years. For food and wine lovers, that’s even more of a good reason to celebrate with AltaMed during their 14th annual “East LA Meets Napa: A Celebration of Argentina” at L.A. LIVE on Friday, July 26, 7-10 p.m.
A tantalizing list of participating restaurants, vintners, and live entertainment has been set for this unique event that celebrates the richness of Latin food in Los Angeles and the success of Latino-owned vineyards in California.
There are food festivals… then there is AltaMed Food and Wine Festival…
Topping the list; Robledo Family Winery, Honrama Cellars, Gustavo Wines, Guerrero Fernandez Winery, El Coraloense Seafood, Hamachi Crudo, La Fonda Mexican Restaurant, Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles’ Chef Jacob Ramos, Urbana Mexican Gastronomy featuring Chef Ernie Alvarado’s famous filet mignon tacos, surrounded by dozens more, complete with traditional fanfares, held throughout the night.
In 2019, East LA Meets Napa will take attendees on a wine tasting journey, stretching from the famed Napa Valley to the vast wine regions of Argentina. This exploration of eclectic wines will celebrate and honor the roots of countless Latin vintners and families.

Showcased at L.A. LIVE, the epicenter of entertainment and dining in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, live music will set the scene while patrons enjoy tastings from over 70 to LA restaurants and premium vintners, including tastings from viticultural areas in Argentina, presented by world-renowned celebrity chefs and vintners.
AltaMed is the nation’s largest, independent federally qualified community health center. With the slogan “Savor, Celebrate, Support AltaMed,” all proceeds from the events benefit AltaMed’s efforts to provide healthcare, dental care, senior services, HIV treatment and prevention, teen mentoring programs, and health education to families in Los Angeles and Orange County.
