This weekend, through a succession of choreographed episodes, dancers will help illuminate this extraordinary composition that celebrates ancient rituals and the power and beauty of nature.

Among them, a tiny Kuchipudi Indian Classical Dancer from New Delhi, BHAVANA Reddy, who while in the midst of preparing for her second Saturday afternoon performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall, managed to stop by Kapoor’s Akbar Indian Cuisine in just enough time for lunch, photos and a quick interview.

For those who know of BHAVANA’s work, know she is a world traveler, who has spent her entire life performing and touring the globe as a child alongside her world renown parents — National Awardee Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, only to branch off to explore and create a style all her own to share with the world as an adult; and she’s making quite a name for herself.

Redefining what an orchestra can be, together with LA-based choreographer Kitty McNamee, the two have been fine tuning during rehearsals and set to successfully entertain young audiences with the accompaniment of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra’s production of Stravinsky’s ‘Rite of Spring’ on December 14th.
