With the support of School on Wheels, the partners will provide 650 children and families experiencing homelessness with a $50 Smart & Final gift card.
Fifty Schools on Wheels students currently facing food insecurity will attend Tuesday September 3rd, where they will receive lunch and a backpack.
The event will take place at Skid Row Learning Center, 600 E. 7th Street, Suite 109, from 11am – 1pm.
For young Angelenos with limited access to education, sports and healthcare, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation is a champion that increases the quality of life and confidence of the people we serve by using our historic Dodger brand and the power of sport to run and fund proven programs — at a time when a quality education, youth sports and health care are increasingly reserved for the elite. With the support of partners, stakeholders and fans, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation produces incredible results on fields, in classrooms and at recreation centers, creating Major League Communities.
The Getty House Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to civic education, community engagement, and the preservation of Getty House, the official residence of the Mayor of Los Angeles.
