The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) is pleased to announce that Nichol Whiteman has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of the organization.
In her five years as Executive Director of the team’s official charity, Whiteman has led efforts to launch Dodgers RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities), a youth development program serving over 10,500 youth today, complete 50 Dodgers Dreamfields impacting 300,000 youth, create a benefit gala, build a comprehensive grantmaking program, and increase fundraising by 1,000%. Nichol will continue to execute LADF’s vision, mission, and strategic plan.
The foundation also announced that Chaitali Gala Mehta has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
In her new role, Chaitali will provide oversight and strategic guidance in the areas of operations, finance, grantmaking/philanthropy
The changes come as a result of the tremendous growth experienced by the foundation over the past several years. Earlier this month the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation announced its 5th Anniversary Blue Diamond Gala, an event that Whiteman and Mehta have and will continue to spearhead, will take place on Wednesday, June 12 and feature a benefit concert by world-renowned musician Bruno Mars.
