Get Ready for Some Serious Truth! Women’s March Returns to DTLA

Trump wanted to grab them by the p*&@#. Downtown Los Angeles wanted to cheer them on. And we did. On January 21, 2017, the day after the inauguration of President Donald Trump, women came together in what was the largest single-day protest in U.S. history. And they are about to do it again.

One organizing group, WOMEN’S MARCH CALIFORNIA has scheduled marches all throughout California and will join the masses; women, men and children, Saturday, January 19th, with handmade picket signs, justice chants and homemade vagina hats?

Hey, it’s a statement!

Organizers for the Women’s March California 2019 have announced statewide marches on  January 19th, and they urge you to make plans to join in and have your voice heard!

Women’s March California is an independent 501c3, with an elected board and thirteen chapters. From those thirteen chapters, they have 150 elected leaders.

With more a million marchers and over 100 actions monthly, WMCA is dedicated to civic engagement and empowering women across our state. Women’s March California has no affiliation and was never part of Women’s March, Inc. WMCA is its own separate organization with separate leadership, board and funding.

As an independent entity, WMCA has done everything in their power to demonstrate and promote intersectionality and inclusivity as they continue to work towards the vision of shared humanity and equality for all, regardless of race, religion, gender identity or sexuality. They believe that Women’s March, Inc. leadership should also reflect these ideas and promote these values.

“The women’s march movement does not belong to any one group and to focus on a single group erases the very real work organizers do across the country, and throughout California. Women’s March California has worked tirelessly to build our statewide network over the last two years, creating a volunteer-run organization with an elected board and leaders.” – Jasmine Partida,  Vice President, WMCA

Watch Out R Kelly!

A frequent visitor of amazing cigar shops when in town, the Pied Piper of R&B better not step in the name of love the day over 100,000 women, most in support of the #metoo movement, come marching in.

Anger, frustration, along with organized messages and feelings of accomplishment will not bend as women from all walks of life stand together against your type of alleged foolery, as described in the conveniently timed “Surviving R Kelly” series which aired last week on A+E Lifetime.

Ivanka may be married to Trump but she is still a woman.

“We can’t afford to sit on sidelines again. We must be present and organized , we know what happens when we sit on the sidelines, we let other people choose their brand of democracy for us and we simply can’t afford that!”-Emiliana Guereca, Director, Co-Founder, Women’s March, LA Women’s March California

Truth to Power 2019 will be composed of thirteen different chapter marches, is part of a national movement to unify and empower those who stand for women’s rights, human rights, civil liberties, and social justice for all.

The Women’s March California – Truth to Power 2019 events are non-partisan and peaceful and will give people the opportunity to unite in every state and major metropolitan area and stand in solidarity for the American values we represent.
