The 113th World Series has been a thrilling, epic journey, filled with nail-biting endings. This Fall classic puts the Houston Astros against the Los Angeles Dodgers. After Sunday night’s sensational game 5. The Astros knocked off the Dodgers, 13-12 in a game which lasted an astonishing five hours and seventeen minutes. The Astros lead the series 3-2.
The Dodgers backs are against the wall. In order to capture their first World Series since 1988, the Blue Crew must win two in a row at Chavez Ravine. Here is a Brief summary of the wildest World Series in decades.
GAME 1

This group has the chemistry and personality of a champion. The boiling point is 212º degrees for water.

Kershaw, the Texas native, is used to the extreme heat and pressure that strangely rolls around each October. As the sun beat down, sweat streaming down his face, Kershaw remains focused and downright cool as the Astros lineup went down.

The Astros gained home field advantage in an epic, come from behind victory in Game 2. The Dodgers were three outs from leading the World Series, before the Dodgers excellent closer Kenley Jansen surrendered a two run blast, evening the score at 3-3.
The Astros tacked on two more- but the Dodgers weren’t finished either. First, Yasiel Puig hit a solo blast. Next, Kiki Anderson tied the game with a two out hit.
In extra innings at 5-5. Unfortunately, . Josh Fields gave up back-to-back home runs to Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa The Dodgers lost game 2 by the score of 7-6.
GAME 3
Houston Strong indeed! The Houston Astros returned to their thunder dome cleverly disguised as Minute Maid Park, spanked the Los Angeles Dodgers, 5-3 on Friday, October 27th to take a 2-1 edge in the 2017 World Series.
These Astros are polar opposite teams away from home. With the Game 3 victory, Houston improves to an astonishing 7-0 this postseason. Outscoring their opponet 36-10 in the process.
Cody Bellinger, the Dodgers Rookie phenom chose the perfect time to bust out of his World Series slump. His two key hits, including the game winning go ahead double in the 9th, breaking the tie surged the Dodgers to a 6-2 victory over the Houston Astros on Saturday, October 28th from Minute Maid Park.
The World Series is now tied at 2-2, the win not only snaps the Astros undefeated(7-0), streak at home these playoffs, it means the season regardless of the victor, will conclude at Dodgers Stadium.
GAME 5
This one made every die-hard Doyer fan sick to their stomach. The Dodgers jumped out to a 4-0 edge. Plenty for Kershaw, right? WRONG! The games best pitcher was rocked by the Astros explosive lineup. The Astros stormed back to even the score at 4-4. The Dodgers responded by putting up three more runs. It felt as if both teams were imploding at the same time.
Remember when pitching and defense won titles? Well, neither of these teams has a stellar bullpen, so it should come as no surprise that a new record for most home runs in the World Series was set at 22. The Astros headed into the ninth inning with a cushy 12-9 advantage. The Dodgers mounted a furious rally. Yasiel Puig hit a two-run blast, then Chris Taylor hit a shot past second base, and suddenly we are tied at 12.
Kenley Jansen is one of the games premiere closers-when he only pitches one inning. The second inning means trouble, similar to the quandary of game 2. Alex Bergman hit the game-winning double over Corey Seager’s head. The Astros didn’t win Game 5; the Dodgers choked and gave this one away.
Game 6 will be on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31st at 5:00 P.M. The most frightening part is the Dodgers will have to face Justin Verlander!
