Imagine if you could look inside your favorite bar or restaurant to check out the day’s specials, events; see if the place is packed or empty, or even who’s on staff ! Well imagine no more, thanks to the genius minds behind the new app “The Vestigate” your dream is now a reality. From the privacy of the user’s home, one can now have access to the goings on of a bar or restaurant whether locally or nationwide!
Downtown Weekly got the chance to catch up with the creators of the app, Sally Kushner and Krissy Schuch to ask the idea behind the app as well as the future for the app. Krissy who grew up in Los Angeles is originally from Colorado. She says the idea came from the constant need to “know what was going on” at a bar or restaurant instead of riding there to find it unappealing. The app which utilizes a live action camera feature, let’s the user see what is actually going on inside of a restaurant/bar before stepping foot inside! The establishment’s menu, specials for the day, staff on duty, as well as events will be shown with just the click of a button.
For the business owners thinking of trying out the app, it will offer a whole new level of on the go marketing tools giving more visibility to their business to users locally as well as nationwide at the EXACT time they are looking at the particular bar/restaurant. They can benefit from the traffic of usual customers, as well as the possibility of new customers having access to their location. As Sally stated, they are looking to expand to many more bars in the future as well as cross country. A native of Michigan she sees the app itself as a “real-time social scene navigator”.
Think of it as a window into that place down the street that you’ve been meaning to check out, or maybe that spot near your job that you heard has weekly specials! The decision is totally up to, with a better way for you to decide.
Looking to expand to Downtown L.A. this year, the app has already successfully partnered with cities such as Fort Lauderdale, Fl, Key West, Fl, and parts of Los Angeles, Ca. Founded in June 2017 the app gives the user the opportunity to create a customizable profile. Once created the user will be given access to live action camera and customized pages from bars and restaurants in a specific location. You can pretty much see everything you need to know, all within the comforts of your home or vehicle. Bars and restaurants that are featured in the app will send out notifications to users letting them know of any discounts or deals for the day and there is also a feature that allows you to chat with other “Vestigate” users! Available for download for Android users in the Google Play store and available for Apple users in the App Store.
