Gary WAT is a rising luxury real estate extraordinaire specializing in luxury listings, home buying, real estate investments and international clients. Just starting a new chapter of his career with top notch brokerage, The Agency, Wat always delivers 5-star service helping his clients make the best real estate decisions to live, to invest and to build. Now Gary is elevating the âGary Wat Homesâ experience to a whole new level…
Who is Gary Wat?
Wat is an LA local – born and raised. Heâs an educator, a surfer, a world traveler, a foodie, a community favorite, a thinker, a creator⊠it is not easy to define him with a single title.
Growing up in San Gabriel Valley, Gary graduated locally from Arcadia High School and then went off to UC Riverside, majoring in Business Administration. In a typical Asian American fashion, he was expected to get a job with a stable salary and start to live his life.
Well, if there was one thing certain about Gary …
is that he thrives on uncertainty, the unknowns, seeking adventures and all the possibilities out there. Having studied and lived in Hong Kong, Spain and other parts of Europe during college exchange programs, Gary cherishes every opportunity to explore a new place, a new culture and a new self.
Wat also started his own successful tutoring business after college. At the age of 26, Gary jumped on an opportunity to advance his international experience to go to Japan as an English educator.
After working a year in public education in Japan, he ended up opening a Private English school which thrived to have over 100 students and lived there for another 3 years.
The extensive travel and cultural immersion experience sculptured his one-of-a-kind personality and skill set: excellent in interpersonal and inter-cultural communication, creative at problem solving, sharp business negotiations, and most importantly, kind and generous at heart – all quite noticeable especially during Watâs staged open house events.
Some of the highlights of Watâs events include strategic partnerships with world recognized brands such as Breget watches and Meukow Cognac to feature his multi-million listings at the grand opening events.
Recently, Wat partnered with Hing Wa Lee Jewelers at an open house event to give the each guest the VIP experience by pairing them with a watch to wear for the night, price ranging from $50,000-$200,000. Although, the watch may have not been a million dollars, rest assured, they felt like a hundred million dollar guest.
âI am always looking to make the experience a âfive-star experience!ââ, said Gary Wat.
When Watâs international clients fly in, he makes sure they are well taken care of.
First. Pick them up from the airport and make sure they are well settled. Then he gets to work, showing them prospective properties and offering critical advice on the best investment opportunities.
Wat is also continuously looking for creative solutions to make the experience more unique and unforgettable.
Itâs not all GLAM AND GLORY that Wat is pursuing, but the relationships built along the way with the community, international and local, that will truly help his clients reach their real estate goals.
Partnerships. Community. Connections.
Thatâs what Gary Wat strives for.
âI love these partnerships….these friendships that go beyond just business and transactions. The most fulfilling moments are not closing the deals, but getting invited to my clientsâ housewarming parties, birthday parties, and sometimes family gatherings. I am grateful to be part of their lives and their communities.â
Now, WAT is your next move? To Live. To Invest. To Build.
WAT ABOUT REAL ESTATE?
âWhat I truly love about Real Estate is that it deeply challenges me to examine who I am as an entrepreneur. Never in my life, have I woken so early to start my days, implementing a stronger morning routine so that I can be prepared for the day ahead. It keeps my mind sharp, looking for the opportunities that lie just beyond the horizon.â
Say wat you will about DTLA!
âItâs exciting to see the revitalization of a true urban environment in Los Angeles. But I still feel like DTLA has a lot of room to grow which leave a lot of opportunities. With the Olympics coming to LA in 2028, I believe investments in the city today will grow exponentially as the need for housing, public services, and infrastructure grows.â @GARYWATHOMES
