Carol Bus Rolls Through Downtown LA

The Los Angeles Master Chorale is taking the public a’ caroling in quintessential LA fashion on the Los Angeles Master Chorale Carol Bus, an eye-catching double-decker red bus festooned in fabulous seasonal finery from headlights to tailpipes that will ferry revelers through downtown LA for a ticketed public caroling tour in the heart of the city.  This fun new take on the one-horse open sleigh includes caroling stops at the Music Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Grand Central Market and LA Live.  Professional singers from the Los Angeles Master Chorale guide the festivities.  Professional singers from the Los Angeles Master Chorale guide the festivities, which, in addition to the caroling, include hot chocolate, mulled wine, Christmas cookies and a souvenir caroling book.

The Carol Bus itself is an incredible holiday visual and the carolers will be bundled up in seasonal scarves and hats as they wassail their way through the city.

The festive Los Angeles Master Chorale Carol Bus is a prelude to the Chorale’s Christmas at Walt Disney Concert Hall, which includes four distinctive holiday programs during December: “Festival of Carols” Saturday, December 12, 2015, 2 pm, at Disney Hall; a concert version of Handel’s Messiah Sunday, December 20, 2015, 7 pm; “Rejoice! Brass Tidings,” featuring such classics as Daniel Pinkham’s Christmas Cantata, Giovanni Gabrieli’s Christmas Motets, John Rutter’s Gloria and Shawn Kirchner’s Behold New Joy: Ancient Carols of Christmas, Sunday, December 13, 2015, 7 pm; and the LA Master Chorale’s famed 35th Annual “Messiah Sing-Along” Wednesday, December 16, 2015, 8 pm. (Concert tickets range from $29 – $129.)
