Carved into Downtown Los Angeles’ Historic Fashion District, Think Tank Gallery and LA Coffee Club present a feast for the senses with an event series that embraces Downtown’s accelerating craft coffee culture. Showcasing the art of Avi Roth, a unique abstract expressionist that creates entirely from the textures of coffee, Think Tank Gallery celebrates his unique Coffeegraph technique by integrating its aesthetic into their massive space, transformed into a fully-sculptured coffee bar, hosting LA’s most exciting names in coffee from December 1 – 21. Come try bottomless espresso from 10am-4pm every day.

Avi Roth & Coffeegraph, born in Transylvania, has had an illustrious and successful career spanning four decades as a commercial photographer and photojournalist. His elegant photographic work has appeared in many prominent publications including: Vogue Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Architectural Digest. In 2006, a sequence of unforeseen events compelled his exploration with coffee as an art medium. Coffeegraph is a visual vocabulary, articulated in a language of exotic origin, mostly in monochromatic shapes and textures. It creates spatial tension between hues of joy and inner turmoil, of delight and darkly twisted anxiety, as well as a degree of awe and triumph, when magically recognizable elements are revealed through the journey of personal discovery.
Think Tank Gallery, Los Angeles is an arts space that is indebted to the complexities of a quickly urbanizing world. In its Downtown location within the historic Fashion District, Think Tank is a pristine gallery carved out of a century-old warehouse’s enormous second floor. It offers a curated artistic experience that embraces the polychromatic culture of this dynamic city and the people within it, providing a genuine vision of cultural society that is unique to Los Angeles.
LA Coffee Club has one simple mission: Expose the public to Unbelievably Fresh, Locally Roasted Coffee. The club was founded on the principal that ultimately, the best tasting coffee comes from freshly roasted beans. Los Angeles is home to dozens of coffee roasters and some of the most innovative coffee bars in the world. LA Coffee Club guides members down the rabbit hole to discover a different roaster each month, constantly pointing them towards a fresh cup.
