The LA Art Show, the largest and most successful platform for contemporary and traditional art in the West, returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center, South Hall J & K, January 15 â 19, 2014.
Produced by the Palm Beach Show Group, the 2013 show was a record-breaking success with show hours extended to accommodate more than 50,000 energetic collectors. Participating galleries reported strong sales and more than twenty-five million dollars in transactions were made throughout the 4-day show with many more recorded post-event. Â

The LA Art Show is unique in the art world, providing collectors with an expansive breadth of galleries that crosses contemporary, historic and print genres. Acquired by the Palm Beach Show Group in 2012, the LA Art Show celebrated its most successful show to date in its inaugural year under new ownership.  The LA Art Showâs distinctive âfair-within-a-fair,â features four sections in the 180,000 square foot exhibit hall: A Modern & Contemporary Section, Historic & Traditional Contemporary Section, Vintage Poster Section and the LA IFPDA Print Fair. The 2014 LA Art Show will feature an exclusive and impressive collection of galleries selected by the LA Art Showâs Gallery Selection Committee, and an exciting roster of programming including an engaging lecture series, ground-breaking special exhibits by top curators, artist book signings, guided show tours, mixers, and evening events.
Sister Cities of Los Angeles, which creates and strengthens relationships between Los Angeles and her 25 Sister Cities around the world, will partner with the 2014 Opening Night Premiere Party to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Los Angelesâ partnership with sister city, Bordeaux, France.  The LA Art Show will announce the 2014 celebrity host shortly.
Always a star-studded affaire, the 2013 Celebrity Art Ambassador and Guest of Honor at the Patron Reception was James Franco and Ali Larter and Hayes MacArthur hosted the evening. The Los Angeles Jewelry & Antique Show will kick off with a stylish Opening Night Premiere Party benefitting the FIDM Museum Fashion Council. Taking place Wednesday, January 15 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, South Hall, the eveningâs festivities features food, wine, music, and an exclusive fashion program showcasing a curated exhibit of noteworthy pieces from The Helen Larson Historic Fashion Collection and a high-end fashion show with couture and celebrity designers Kevan Hall and Sue Wong.
Proceeds from the Opening Night Premiere Party will benefit the FIDM Museum Fashion Council. A volunteer group dedicated to supporting the museumâs educational goals, as well as the acquisition of important objects, their current focus is fundraising to support the purchase of The Helen Larson Historic Fashion Collectionâ1,400 pieces of clothing and accessories dating from the 1600s to the 1930s, assembled by Southern Californian Helen Larson between 1946 and 1996. Highlights include a c. 1610 Italian jerkin, eighteenth-century cloth-of-silver and gold garments, nineteenth-century haute couture, and many ensembles with royal provenance, including over 30 objects worn by Queen Victoria. The collection includes Helen Larsonâs personal correspondence with eminent fashion curators and dealers, and purchase records. Select pieces from this world-class collection will be on view in a special exhibit curated by Kevin Jones, Curator of the FIDM Museum. Titled, Collecting Style/Making History: The Helen Larson Historic Fashion Collection, the exhibit will feature pieces universally acknowledged for object rarity and provenance.

The Opening Night Premiere Party will also include a high-end fashion showcase featuring Los Angeles-based design houses. This exciting program will feature several couture and celebrity designers including Kevan Hall and Sue Wong creating in a couture experience. Models wearing designer pieces will circulate among guests and selectively pose on pedestals during the course of the evening.
Offering visitors a âfirst-lookâ at the one-of-a-kind gems; designer jewelry and watches; vintage couture purses; antique and modern silver; Asian art; textiles; books; porcelain; tribal art; furnishings and accessories, The Opening Night Premiere Party also allows early access to view several special exhibits, interior design showcases, and additional programming.
The Los Angeles Jewelry & Antique Show will take place on January 15-19, 2014 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, South Hall, 1201 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015. The 2014 Opening Night Premiere Party will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 8pm-11pm, with a Vanguard Preview beginning at 7pm. Vanguard tickets are $200 and Friend tickets are $125.
