The Journey
Yvonne and Atouzo reflect on their early years: “Our journey started in 2007. After an in-depth market research, we decided to open our first location in Downtown LA. As we broke the news to our friends and clients spanning from West Hollywood to Pasadena, they simply thought we were crazy to put a high-end salon in the heart of Downtown LA. We completed our construction in early 2008 and became the first to open a high-end full service salon in downtown LA in over 60 years.”
Yvonne has had experience as a skilled color specialist, hairdresser, and make-up artist. Her resume includes training from Vidal Sassoon in hair design and facilitating classes for Redken NYC in hair color. Yvonne’s husband and business partner, Atouzo, brings his own artistic ability as a fashion photographer. Atouzo holds two degrees in fashion photography from Bombay and New Delhi, and he also studied business management. Both Yvonne and Atouzo have created a friendly ambiance amongst the staff through personal training and annual retreats.
The Clientele
Neihulé Salon is not your typical salon. It has styled many elites for special TV shows and events such as the MTV awards, American Idol, and Entertainment Tonight, just to name a few. Amongst its VIP clients include well-known personages such as Kim Kardashian, Natasha, and Carrie Fisher. However, whether or not their clients are well-known, Neihulé is known for presenting high-quality beauty care.

Neihulé offers a range of services for body and skincare. Since 2008, the salon has provided the ultimate day of complete pampering. The company features two salons under one roof. Here’s what they say about the most recent addition to their business: “Our newest venture is a full-service salon along with an Academy located in the Fashion district which opened in November 2018. We believe the fashion district is going to be the next most revitalized District of Downtown Los Angeles. We believe that we are setting a trend in the Fashion District, just as we did on Olive Street. We lit up the corner of 6th and Olive almost 11 years ago, and now we are lighting up the corner of 8th and Santee in the Fashion district! We truly believe that this area will become one of the most sought out districts in DTLA for developers in the next 5 years… We will need the support of our Downtown Community as we embark on revitalizing the Fashion District.
