There’s a whole new way to trick or treat this Halloween. Halloweed Soiree is set for 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019.
Culinary and Cannabis is a new groundbreaking event forum which brings together health care professionals, advocacy groups along with food and wine experts within the community for a great cause. These events aim to remove the stigma associated with medical marijuana treatment by exploring its many culinary possibilities.
Hosted by Culinary and Cannabis, attendees can celebrate HalloweenâŠmake that Halloweed in style in downtown Los Angeles with proceeds benefitting I AMâs âRefresh the Homelessâ program.
âOur goal is to create a festive environment where everyone can celebrate safely while making some lifelong memories,â said Tamara Anderson, event director of Culinary and Cannabis. âWe encourage everyone to dress up and enjoy their cannabis, too.â
Guests ages 21 and older can expect a luxury cannabis experience with fun activities and cannabis inspired costumes while enjoying their favorite way(s) to consume the legal plant. Activities include: a pumpkin carving contest, special effects makeup artist contest, a costume contest featuring a variety of categories, an onsite Halloween makeup artist, an edibles contest for sweets and treats, cannabis bar, infused bites, a DJ and live music, bong service, raffle prizes and swag bag given to each guest that brings needed hygiene products for the âRefresh the Homelessâ community project.
I AM, a cannabis awareness organization dedicated to the power of the light that shines within every human being, through its âRefresh the Homelessâ program aims to provide 1,000 homeless residents in downtown Los Angeles with a hygiene kit that includes necessities like a toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, deodorant and sanitary products. In addition to items collected at Halloweed Soiree, I AM volunteers will provide sack lunches with sandwiches, fruits, chips and cold drinks to homeless residents in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday, October 27, 2019.
