Grand Performances, the longest-running presenter of high quality free programs in downtown LA, known for their high-quality music, dance, theater, held during the summer for the past 32 years.

This Holiday season Grand Performances offers a festive Holiday performance lineup in or around California Plaza.

The free daytime programs on select December dates will unite communities and celebrate diversity through performances covering various genres, including Latinx, soul and rock, among others.

Mostly Kosher, the acclaimed klezmer gypsy-rock band radically reconstructs Judaic and American cultural music through ravenous klezmer beats and arresting Yiddish refrains. Most importantly, this band is fun. Wednesday, December 12 at 11:45 – 1:15 p.m. at Grand Ave. 

The Altons DTLA’s amazing local band, bring aLatin-inspired soul rock sound to kick off the holiday celebrations. Tasty guitars, sultry vocals, and danceable rhythms will make your lunch hour better than you knew it could be. Thursday, December 13 at 11:45 – 1:15 p.m. at California Plaza

Urban Voices Project, this ensemble brings the healing power of music directly to individuals disenfranchised by homelessness, mental health issues, and unemployment in the Great Los Angeles area. Eight carolers will move about the plaza so keep your ears and eyes open for their joyous melodies. Tuesday, December 18 at 11:45 – 1:15 p.m. at The Cabaret Stage.

David Garza celebrates the holidays in a lunchtime Posada with his ensemble accompany, a host of guest vocalists, including Nina Diaz and Hope Wright, to lead friends and family in seasonal favorites from around the world. From Cumbia to Swing with a dash of distinctly DTLA Rock ‘n’ Roll, this upbeat show is not to be missed! Tuesday, December 18 at 11:45 – 1:45 p.m. at The Cabaret Stage.www.grandperformances.org.
