The Perfect Night for Halloween In Downtown!!!

This past weekend gave DTLA a chance to dress up like a different character each day, from Thursday until Sunday, but true ghouls and ghosts know it’s Hallow’s Eve and Halloween Night that make for the best witching hours. So, if rainy days and Mondays get you down, but Halloween brings you up, this will be a perfect night to celebrate Halloween in Downtown LA. Here’s our list of things to do October 31st.

DJ Moist at La Cita

Is bringing the smooth r&b, soul, and hiphop grooves to Downtown LA every Monday night at La Cita Bar. Each week he spins an electronic symphony of insatiable rhythms and get to know you better dance music by Old School Legends. Grand Opening of Taste of Universal

DTLA’s favorite barber the Unfadeable Khalil, has opened his first eatery directly across the street from his barber space at Salon on 6th which will give him the perfect vantage point as co-owner Fashion Williams and crew serve up delicious mini sandwiches and an assorted mix of natural icy fruit concoctions. Both originally from TEXAS, the two have proven a man’s best day in Downtown should include a lineup followed by a mouth full of happy tastebuds. 400 S Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90013.

Horror in the Hall @Walt Disney Concert Hall

CLARK WILSON is one of the most prominent and recognized scorers of silent photo-plays in America today. He works exclusively with the Organ in developing accurate and historic musical accompaniments as they were performed in major picture palaces during the heyday of the silent film. For Halloween Night, Wilson will improvise an appropriately atmospheric sound track on Walt Disney Concert Hall’s magnificent pipe organ for this groundbreaking 1920 silent film, one of the earliest, most influential and artistically acclaimed films in the German Expressionist genre directed by Robert Wiene. Ticketed. Bunker Hill.

Crawloween

Crawl through Downtown on Halloween night with ACME’s Crawloween, as four of its bars will throw individual—but equally spooktacular—costume parties, complete with discounted concocted cocktails. Fly to Sixth Street Tavern for their Basic Witches Brew, Library Bar for a Day of the Dead-themed libation, then don your 90’s flannel for a Smells Like Teen Spirit drink at Beelman’s Pub. End the night down the rabbit hole at Library Bar after sipping on their Alice in Wonderland-themed drink. Either way, you slice it, you’ll be scared, shaking and probably drunk by the time you make your way through all of these. Historic Core.

Dia de Los Muertos at Olvera Street
This annual celebration at El Pueblo in downtown Los Angeles across from Union Station culminating with a 2-day festival includes Aztec dancers, street performers, mariachi bands, children’s activities and more. Halloween at Le Petit Paris

Has anyone seen Le Petit Paris’ horrorween video to go with tonight’s Halloween party? It’s hilarious, scary and with all the bare bones inviting you to come and have a good time, makes you kind of hungry
So, if you’re ready to spend the scariest night of the year at Le Petit Paris, they have special dishes including desserts like a caramel pastry cream and praline Ă©clair, and they are TO DIE FOR. 418 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90013. Free. Courts District.
Halloween Festival for DTLA Kids.

Over a thousand tiny monsters are at Grand Hope Park right now. DCBID has once again invited these children to enjoy face painters, bouncy houses, arts and crafts tables, puppet shows, trick-or-treat doors and more. What can be scarier than children? especially children who like corn, or free candy, but although children can be frightening, their parents will accompany them. Tickets include hot dogs, snacks, candy, and other treats. Grand Hope Park at FIDM. 919 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90015. Ticketed. Fashion District.

Trick-or-Treat Little Tokyo
Little Tokyo has the highest population of Japanese Americans in the country, and one of the largest Halloween events for the entire family at the Japanese Village Plaza with Spooky Cookies giveaways for children, Halloween entertainment on the center stage, DJs, caricature artists, and 7 p.m. screening of “Room on the Broom”. 335 E 2nd St, Los Angeles, CA 90012. BAT BAND @Clifton’s Cafeteria

“The Rayford Brothers are well versed in the language of Rockabilly—swingin’ beats and face-melting leads. But coming through the swing with audible clarity is a twang country influence. They play sweet bendy, rambling goodness, like Brian Setzer teaming up with Gram Parsons”, And to think, they do it all dressed as the dynamic duo, Batman and Robin. 10pm-1am. Free. Historic Core.
