Metropolis has redefined the L.A. skyline and streetscape while setting a rarified new standard in upscale downtown living and this Thursday, Metropolis Los Angeles will open its first residential tower with a VIP grand opening party.

The exclusive event will feature eclectic drinks and food in the spirit of DTLA, and a diversity of entertainment including musical performances by HOLA (Heart of Los Angeles). Guests can experience different areas and elements of the luxury property: from its MET SIX community space, skypark and pool, to model homes and central art installation, CONVERGENCELA. Metropolis executives will be on hand for interviews.

Greenland USA, a subsidiary of Shanghai-based Greenland Holding Group, has invested over $1 billion to create a new downtown landmark, in partnership with architectural/ design firms Gensler and J-G Neukomm Architecture, and Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Located two blocks from Staples Center and L.A. Live, the finished property will feature four distinct towers with uniquely shaped cascading rooftops, including the recently opened Hotel Indigo.

Metropolis, when fully completed in 2019, is slated to be the largest mixed-use development in the western United States, at appx. 3.5 million sq. ft. on 6.33 acres. The project’s first of three residential towers rises 38 floors and 308 units; the second and third towers, at 40 and 56 floors, respectively, are currently under construction.
